Lou and Matt’s amazing wedding at Charnock Farm. It was my first time photographing a wedding at Charnock Farm. This beautiful wedding venue near Chorley has a lot to offer, with a barn style ceremony and reception. There are loads of different areas to get amazing wedding photography.
I arrived to photograph the bridal prep and it was one of the most, if not the most, calm and relaxed bridal prep I have experienced. They even had time to watch a bit of “Football Focus” before getting in the wedding dress!
Matt and his Groomsmen were at Charnock Farm when I arrived. The ceremony was lovely with a personalised reading, written by the groom’s sister about two dinosaurs.
I took the bride and groom around the grounds to take some photos of them. I try and do this part of the wedding photography as natural as possible. I aim to put the couple in certain places but not make them do uncomfortable poses, ensuring I keep their personalities in the photography. This means they get some lovely natural wedding photography.
The speeches were very heartfelt and funny. There was a big shout out for the Best Man who had only a few days to prepare. He gave a lovely speech about the groom who he had know since he was born.
We popped back out after the meal to get a few more relaxed photographs.
Here are some of my favourites from the day.
