The Villa, Wrea Green Wedding Photographer
A gorgeous summer wedding at The Villa, Wrea Green. The lovely couple Sam and Andrew had smiles on their faces all day and it was a truly lovely wedding.
The Villa Wedding Photography
I started the day at Sam’s parent’s in Preston for Bridal prep, with hair by Fiona Longshaw and and make up by Kerry Baker. Sonje Jones provided the flowers and Sam’s gorgeous wedding dress was from Amelia’s Bridal. I was joined by the videographer Phil from Base Aura. There was a a very very special guest, Sam’s Grandpa who looked very dapper in his top hat and tails.
The Villa
I headed over to the Villa, where Andrew was waiting with his groomsmen. Sam’s bridesmaids, apart from her sister, had all set off to the venue without seeing her in her wedding dress, so we did a reveal to them when we arrived. The flower girls couldn’t resist having a peek before Sam was ready. Andrew was a bit nervous but was so happy throughout the ceremony, with a lot of smiling and a bit of laughter. The room was decorated in a rustic theme that continued through to the wedding breakfast table decorations.
Wedding Portraits
Sam and Andrew jumped in the wedding car, from Broughton Cars, for a quick drive out around the village Green before I met them on the way back to get some wedding portraits of just the two of them. I like doing this part as a walk, stopping occasionally, as it gives a more natural and unforced feel to the photos. We did a few more formal group photographs before leaving them to chat to their guests, this left me free to photograph as I feel in a documentary, unposed style.
Wedding breakfast, Speeches and Evening Do
Wayne Farrow provided hosting duties and evening entertainment. The speeches were heartfelt and Andrew’s best man provided some very funny moments.
Evening Portraits
I always like to take the couple back out, for 10 or so minutes, after the wedding breakfast and before the evening do starts, to get a few more photos . The light is softer and more flattering, and the couple are normally more relaxed in front of camera. It is often my favourite part of the day.
