Wynyard Hall, County Durham. For this wedding I got to the North East, near Newcastle upon Tyne. The wedding was at Sir John Hall’s estate. This beautiful building was a lovely wedding venue and was the perfect setting for wedding photography. The bride got ready at the venue with all her bridesmaids, I was able to get some lovely photographs of the brides getting ready with all the little details captured. The brides father came in once the bride was ready to see her dress and get ready to walk her down the isle. I was able to get a really nice photograph of this special moment. The venue has its own wedding chapel so it was just a brief walk from the brides room to the ceremony. I photographed the couple at the alter while the guests exited to get ready to throw confetti over the newly married couple.
There was plenty of places to photograph the more formal traditional family and group shots. The wedding guests enjoyed a drink in the gardens while a string quartet played. This time is always nice to get photographs of people enjoying the wedding day. These more candid, natural, reportage style photographs really tell the true story of the wedding day. All the guests released a balloon and I got a great photograph of this with the I photographed everyones reactions to the speeches that had a video interview theme to them. The evening reception was held in the garden conservatory room that was very light and was perfect for a summer wedding.
