Family Wedding at Bartle Hall
Donna and Mark had there wedding at Bartle Hall. It is always a pleasure being asked to Bartle Hall wedding photographer. It was a midweek wedding and they decided to go with my ceremony only package. Which can really suit a smaller wedding budget. It was a small intimate wedding surround by family and their children were a very important part of the day. Mark’s face on seeing Donna for the first time was priceless. The grounds of Bartle Hall always provide a perfect back drop for wedding photos. I shot documentary photography mainly capturing guests enjoying themselves and the groom having a kick about with his son. When I come to do the couple photographs I want them to be feel as relaxed as possible so I often place them somewhere and photograph a wide shot and let the couple chat to each other. It lets them ease into it and also creates natural unforced photographs between them.

“Si was the photographer for my wife and I when we got married at Bartle Hall in 2016, I can’t get it over on words sufficiently as to how fantastic Si was, from the first initial meeting it was a delight to have him involved in the biggest day of my life, he couldn’t do enough in the build up, and on the day I genuinely mean it when I say without him I’d have been in hospital due to nervousness and almost fainting, from my best man not being able to attend due to his wife being in labour to guests being stuck in traffic on the M6 literally 20 minutes before we got married everything was going wrong, forget his duties as a photographer he was like a best man/usher/coordinator rolled into 1 firstly, then secondly the pictures were incredible, exactly the style my wife and I wanted, and true to his word, was almost anonymous but caught every special moment of our day, natural photos of the day none of which we forced, even the ‘formal’ photos were done in a way where it was relaxing for everyone involved. It was baking hot and he went all out to make sure everyone was shaded while making sure the pictures were amazing, couldn’t recommend him highly enough.
